PRESS: Novatek plans to build LNG plant for 20.4 mln tns
MOSCOW, May 31 (PRIME) -- Russian gas producer Novatek plans to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in the Murmansk Region with a capacity of 20.4 million tonnes per year, business daily Kommersant reported late on Tuesday citing sources familiar with the matter.
“Novatek is working on the possibility of building a new large-scale LNG project in the Murmansk Region, consisting of three liquefaction lines with a capacity of 6.8 million tonnes each,” the daily reported.
The first two lines of the plant could be launched at the end of 2027, the third one at the end of 2029,” the daily reported.
